The Venison Feast was first hosted by the Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York around 600 years ago, in the 15th century, and was revived in 1951. It takes place in the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, a historic landmark in the heart of York. The menu has evolved significantly over time and has catered some strange servings in the past.
